Adam Meltzer

Adam Meltzer is a Managing Partner and Founder of Apex Capital Partners and Managing Director of Apex Settlement Group, a licensed life settlement provider. He has been active in the life settlement industry since 2007 and has held senior positions spanning every aspect of the asset class — origination, trading, underwriting, and portfolio management.

Prior to founding Apex, Mr. Meltzer served as Senior Managing Director of Origination and Trading at Obra Capital (formerly Vida Capital), where he oversaw the acquisition and divestment of billions of dollars in life settlement assets across multiple investment vehicles during a tenure of more than 12 years.

Before Obra Capital, Mr. Meltzer was Vice President of Trading at Preston Ventures, with responsibility for all aspects of the acquisition and divestment of life settlement assets across Preston’s managed portfolios. Earlier in his career he worked as a licensed life settlement broker, giving him direct experience of the origination and transaction execution process from the broker’s perspective.

Mr. Meltzer earned a B.A. in Business from Southwestern University and an M.B.A. from St. Edward’s University. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Life Settlements Association (ELSA).
