Ezra Roth

Ezra Roth is a Managing Partner and Founder of Apex Capital Partners. He has experience across the full lifecycle of life settlement investing — portfolio acquisition and divestiture, structured transactions, brokerage origination, legal and regulatory matters, medical underwriting, asset servicing, and portfolio management.

During his career, Mr. Roth has been directly involved in the acquisition and management of more than $2 billion in face value of life insurance policies across institutional portfolios, bespoke transactions, and secondary-market liquidity events. He brings a rigorous analytical discipline to acquisition underwriting that reflects his background in both legal practice and portfolio management.

Before co-founding Apex Capital Partners, Mr. Roth was a Managing Member of Cypress Life Holdings and Chief Executive Officer of Hidden Gem Life Solutions. His earlier legal experience in life settlement and insurance matters — covering policy enforceability, regulatory compliance, and transaction documentation — continues to inform Apex’s approach to underwriting standards and legal risk management across all strategies.

Mr. Roth holds a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in New York. His legal training is directly integrated into Apex’s underwriting process and applied to healthcare receivables, real estate, and MCA transactions as well as the firm’s core life settlement portfolio.
